DC, Maryland Restaurants Charging Congress For Shutdown

(Washington, DC)  --  Restaurants in the Washington, DC area are making sure Congress is paying for the deadlock that shut down some parts of the federal government.  While several restaurants are offering freebies to those government workers who are furloughed due to the shutdown, members of the House and Senate have been told they aren't eligible for such perks.  And at least two places are telling politicians that they will pay double for anything they order.  Zena Polin at the Daily Dish in Sliver Spring, Maryland tells the Huffington Post that her protest against the shutdown is a bit "tongue in cheek," but adds that customers really love the idea of Congress members paying more.
